Some months ago, two of my Featured Blogs submitted their entries for the Black’s Epic Adventures Photo Contest –
Same as My Seven Super Shots, which I composed only a few posts before I reached my 200th post. Now for my upcoming 300th, I’m composing a contest submission post. Plus, Shelley @ Travel-Stained tagged me to do it.
The mechanics is to submit one picture for each of the four themes – Wild, Fast, Epic and Panoramic. This is a legit contest with a prize money of 2000 pounds to spend on an adventure travel. The deadline was May 5th, and so I am way way way behind. 😀 I just wanted to give others bigger chance of winning. 😀 😛 (I kid, I kid) I don’t normally enter my submissions anyways even if I made it, just like the Capture the Colors contest.
Since I’m not actually submitting my entries, I think I have the freedom to break the rules. 😛
I actually find this hard, and a little overwhelming. Having those four themes, it makes feel like your options are very limited. I think the first category is an awful one. 😀 I’m biased because I never fully have that much of wild adventures under my belt.
Ginormous size, intimidating teeth, near the top of the food chain, and the film Jaws just made them a feared creature by humans. While they do attack other marine life and actually control its population, sharks, in reality, don’t pry and rarely bother or attack people. There are numbers of different instances that can kill you more than a shark attack … like a cork from wine bottle or falling off a ladder. 😉
I took this shot at the Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan. I really felt like a wide-eyed kid who’s in extreme awe, giggling inside and just fascinated looking at this tank.
This crowd that went WILD after winning NAHA’s Tug-of-War is also worth the mention. 🙂 Also taken in Okinawa, Japan.
Coming back from a trip to Venice, we had a choice between Bologna or stopping at Marinello for a Ferrari moment. I had to give way as they chose thrill rides over sight-seeing. Even paying a hefty prize to either drive or be a passenger, my friends were so enthusiastic riding this fast car and feeding their need for speed.
These All-Alaskan racing pigs also came in mind. Taken during the Ventura Fair of 2011.
This one is Ventura Fair 2013. 😀
Griffith park is one of the best spots to view the golden California sun, Hollywood sign, and an overview of the city of angels.
I know. 😉 😀
It may not be as tall as the ones in Humboldt County but I think the epic enormity of the redwood giants in Muir Woods National Park fit the category.
… And this epic width of Aqueduct in Vanvitelli.
Can you see me?
Sorry I can’t resist to include the epic beauty of this view in Bohol, Philippines.
There you have it. I hope to see you for my future travel and adventures. 😉
IF you like to do this post, feel free to nominate yourself. 😉
